Welcome back to Smiling Through Tears! I hope everyone is having a good day. Happy Valentine’s Day for those who celebrate. Maggie, Sadie and Daisy want to show everyone their Valentine’s Day bandanas. They wore them all day 🙂 I love my girls so much! I got these roses from Andrew today. He bought them for me after I asked him to buy my neighbor some yellow roses to take to the hospital. hmm…do I take it as a convenience or do I appreciate them?

Yesterday, I wrote about how I found my neighbor after she tried to commit suicide. It was an EXTREMELY long day and I did not sleep much last night. I went to visit her this morning. She was in much better spirits (and loved the roses) but didn’t remember anything that went on yesterday. I burst into tears when I saw her and just gave her a huge hug. We sat and talked for an hour and then I came home. I’m still pretty shaken up by the events of yesterday, but I am working on it through the coping mechanisms that I have learned in therapy.

On a different note – I have a funny story to share. A week ago I received an email from USPS with a tracking number for something from William Sonoma. A day later, Andrew and I came home to a large package from William Sonoma that was wrapped in their wedding paper. I did not purchase anything from there and my family and friends didn’t purchase anything from there. It was a Shun knife set that retails for $400 dollars. There was a note in the box that read:

I did my due diligence and called the William Sonoma 1-800 customer service number to tell them that this was not for me. They asked me what my email, name and address were. They said that this was meant for me because that was the information in the computer. They told me to keep the gift. I DO NOT KNOW WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE!!! I hope they don’t miss out on a wedding gift. Andrew returned the knife set since we already have one and we received a gift card with $400 on it. I can use it at Pottery Barn too. I really tried to figure out who these people are, but had no luck. How weird is this? Has this happened before to any of you? I found it very strange but I am thankful I have some money to buy a few things 😉
